Transformers Mini-Figures In G1-Themed Packaging Hit Dollar Tree Stores

Thanks to Eddy Melendez of the Talk Transformers Facebook Group for permission to share his photos! Recently found in a Dollar Tree store by Mrs. Melendez, these Transformers mini-figures stand about 2 inches tall, and include a card (and packaging!) using the character's original G1 package art! Available are Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Soundwave, and Starscream all in robot mode, with Grimlock in Dino mode rounding out the assortment.

These little guys have an interesting provenance, as tracked down by Rob Springer of Zone Base and Radio Free Cybertron. Last year about this time, these first surfaced in Peru with different packaging as a gift for recharging your game credit card at Coney Park game centers. Three of the six molds were then advertised as becoming part of the Super Impulse "World's Smallest" line, but were apparently delayed repeatedly. But now, at the perfect time to become a stocking stuffer for the holiday season, you can pick them up in a really nice package for a buck each. Happy Hunting!
