Its inflation gone crazy over there. It's the overhead that they pay. But if they gouge, then I guess all of Japan gouges So try this, stop looking directly at Takara, and look at all of Japan, it is not just Takara it is all of Japan that must be gouging. Here is a breakdown of the Japanese... read more

High cost of living translates into higher prices for commodities... but for a toy designed by Hasbro in the US (aren't most of the Bayverse toys designed here?) and made for dirt cheap in China, high cost of living does not justify such prices. Takara obviously feels like they can gouge their c... read more

Not for the Takara one. These are the same prices you find in the stores in Japan. It all comes down to the cost of living. It is very expensive in Japan. Tokyo is the most expensive city to live in, in the world. the second most expensive is Osaka. Hong Kong is 5th. New York City is 8th. Singapo... read more

Thus proving it is not Takara who is price gouging Robot Kingdom has for $82.90 It is TF Source and BBTS who is charging the $100.

As much as I love this new Leader sized mold I cant see paying more than $50 bucks for it. The silver looking paint job looks nice. I'd take that anyday over these silly mismatched tattoos. But will Takara get the mismatched plastic right? The three different greys and the puke gold color... read more

Hasbro Official unleashes the "Leaked from Cybertron" update on none other than the much talked about, Leader Class Movie 1 Decepticon Blackout. They have given up several new image by way of the social networks that show the figure in his drawing board, prototype and final production phases. Read on to the a look a the preview for the Leader Class Movie 1 Decepticon Blackout figure below.
Related by frequent proxy-source for upcoming toys Mr Chaos, we have word of a pair of store inventory listings for a new pair of Studio Series Voyagers. Another Optimus Prime - seemingly distinct from the Voyager currently available in Wave 1 - is on the way somewhere in the near future. And likely to be joining it is a brand new entry in the series, a Voyager class Bonecrusher. Rumors had circulated about the existence of Bonecrusher recently, and this seems to stand in support of their accuracy. No images as yet, but you can keep reading to see the transcribed inventory listings.
Thanks to Planet Iacon's group page. We have new looks at the TakaraTomy Studio series Optimus Prime and Starscream in the packages. Get a look at the Japanese editions of these figures now for the full preview of the Japanese editions, below.
The sale date for Studio Series toys looks to have fallen earlier than we thought - possibly 4/2 rather than 4/20 - and retailers are properly stocking the new assortments now. Latest on that score is Walmart, where I can personally report a sighting in the middle Tennessee area, west of Nashville. On hand were the full assortment of both wave 1 Deluxes and Voyagers. Leaders had not been stocked yet. Take note, though the photos below show the toys stocked in existing spaces, a quick price scan reveals Walmart is following along with the suggested retail prices, so about $20 for Deluxes and $30 for Voyagers - no undercutting like we saw with The Last Knight. Happy hunting, movie collectors!
The Transformers Actor, Tyrese Gibson tells PEOPLE magazine, "little kids always ask him if he really has several giant Transformers robots at his Georgia mansion." The rumors end here as Tyreese himself gives up the tour of this lavish mansion. That now confirms, it is home to at least two massive Transformers Autobot statues of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, with his very own poolside bungalow.
