Oh & im kinda really annoyed that it seems EVERYONE has these new figures but i dont even have the option just cuz i dont have a TOYSRUS. What the H E double HELL!!!?? Wheres Walmarts new figures. But im guessing WM will get the TF3 and TF:Prime figures in before TOYSRUS next time. .... still, wheres MY PCC, Generations, and HFTD line? :roll

Its most likely WM will get wave one through 3 of all, by the time they get anything in the stores. If anyone can answer this WM toy mystery, BE MY GUEST!! *please* :)

Toysrus.com is always an option.

As for your toy mystery:

Wal-Mart and Target are holding back on putting out new figures, for the fall/winter aisle resets done in August. It's easier to do a reset with merchandise that's been decreased by way of clearance, or a lightload of merchandise to start off with.

It's a bigger hassle if they put a bunch of new figures out, then have to move them elsewhere again. Not to mention, the new product could get mixed in with the clearanced merchandise.

if your going to be a completest. be one for what you like. You don't have to buy every single figure that is released. As long as you have the ones you want. That's all that matters.

Quoted for TRUTH!! Awesome quote my man!

I'm also sick and tired of all the repaints, however there is a silver lining in this.

By finding out what the repaints look like. One can decide whether to buy the first release or the repaint.

Case in point

I would rather have Crankcase (Repaint) then Huffer (original)

I would also rather have Bombshock (original) then Pinpoint (repaint)

This is a good point. I accept repaints because i KNOW that companys have to make money off thier tooling more then on one figure. MOST toy lines use the same toolings with minor remolds on EVERY to most figures. We are lucky in transformers because they make new molds for almost every figure. This is money lost on their part, but happy consumers. Well, of course not all of us. ;)

Even though the excessive turn around is discouraging, at Botcon they said the redeco of the new Move Voyager Prime would come with hooks instead of swords.

That right there I thank Hasbro for telling me to wait it out.

And he is getting a new head as well. So choose wisely my friend. You never know if he will end up with battle damage non-sense or what. But then again, we all know we will see this mold, if not an IMPROVEMENT on this mold come time for TF3. With probably a waay better paint job too.

The light blue connectors are an eyesore, but after you connect them to the drones they almost disappear into the drones. Bombshock they are still kind of obvious but not at a distance.

Outrider74 - 2010-07-17 @ 1:02 am

I agree. Being a universal part to all of these figures, Im sure those limb connectors are being mass-molded in huge numbers. The blue blends into SOME of the color schemes, I have Searchlight and they dont look bad at all on him. But on many of the others, its a total eyesore. Why not black, or a medium grey???

On a positive note, I noticed that they seem to have factored in the 'fragile clear plastic' issue. The black 'framework' inside of Backwind that has all the balljoint pegs done in a more durable plastic is a nice touch.

Good discussion going on with Liege!

I still have yet to purchase one of these PCC sets...I've already passed up the first wave upon initial discovery at my local TRU. I'm debating a couple of the combiner sets, but...I'm honestly bouncing back and forth with the whole 'are they worth it' argument. And my enthusiasm, like others, recedes when I see a whole slew of repaints, before we even see the scheduled mass release of the first wave. This kinda of signals to me that they're only a temporary 'fix'...MUCH MORE excited about the Generations line!

Also, does anyone else have a problem with the aesthetic of those 'a-little-too-obvious' connector points? Couldn't those have just as easily been black? As I'm perusing through all the images posted on this link, I just can't keep my eyes off those conflicting blue detractors! The connectors are obviously necessary, but they could have been worked into the color scheme of the overall figures. :shrug

Interesting, although I have to question the pairing of the Chopster Minicon redeco with the Skyburst redeco, since the handle won't fit in the robot's hand...

(Geez, I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?)

That's how I roll with all my figure buying. There's nobody anywhere that can call me less of a fan if I don't buy stuff I don't like. But I know plenty of people who would call me stupid for doing just that, and they would be right to say so.

This is a noble truth.

Liege

you and I may disagree on figures, but when it comes to shelling out money. We definitely think alike, if your going to be a completest. be one for what you like. You don't have to buy every single figure that is released. As long as you have the ones you want. That's all that matters.

:agree Liege you da man.

I really thought that the PCC's would be nicer figs and was looking forward to some of them (2-pks) but IMO I was wrong.

I like Transformers, but will put down my hard earned cash for very few of the PCC's. I need that scratch to buy multiples of the sweet Formers I do like. Yeah Seacons & Generations I'm talking bout you :drool

I'm not gonna get down on anyone who wants to support a big company by buying their products, even when they don't want em', but I'll laugh right in your face :D

I like some repaints and have bought a lot in my time but I'm not gonna get any PCC's for my son to play with. He may get the Searchlight I got for 1/2 off when I bought some Generations figs, but he only deserves the best Transformers I can get him. And these so-called "combiners" are not up to par with what he will get to grow up with.

Wait... what are we talking about ???
