Revenge of the Fallen Video Game Trailer, Screens
Darth Caine - Thursday, February 05, 2009

We have posted a trailer to Activision's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Game as well as some screen shots of the Playstation 3 variant of the video game.

The game "will give fans the chance to experience their favorite Autobots and Decepticons in an all-new, movie-inspired adventure packed with the thrilling and explosive action that only the Transformers universe can deliver," said Rob Kostich, vice president of global brand management, Activision, Inc.

Mr. Kostich also says that the new movie-based game will feature multiplayer action. "We are thrilled to announce that after experiencing the rush of commanding colossal robots on their own, players can challenge their friends for the first time ever in full-featured, blistering multiplayer action as their favorite characters."

The game will be released on multiple platforms from a slew of developers. The following is the list of developers and the platform the company is responsible for:

Luxoflux - Xbox 360 and PS3
Beenox Studios - PC
Krome Studios - Nintendo Wii and PS2
Vicarious Visions - Nintendo DS
Savage Entertainment - PSP.

IGN reports that the PS2 and Wii versions will utilize "the individual platform features to deliver an intense third-person action adventure game that combines dynamic robot combat with arcade-style vehicle sequences and flight-based levels."

The DS will get one title for Autobots and one title for Decepticons, and the PSP will be a "fast-paced action arcade title."

Activision, Inc. has not announced release dates for the game, but we will let you know as soon as we do.

The end of the video also features a transformation of the classic Decepticon logo into the face we have been familiar with as of late.

That was a great trailer. It might not have been perfect, but I was entertained by the first game and enjoyed it enough to play through it 100%. The reason I love this, the teaser trailer, the new Constructicon pics & video review, the phone survey... it is putting to rest the idea of "the Fallen" as an actual character. People were reading into that way too much, I especially like the youtube comments of people convinced tha... read more

TakaraTomy has posted a pair of new YouTube videos for their upcoming release of the Studio Series Wave 1 figures, as well as for their Turbo Change assortments! Most notable are the stop motion transformations for the StudioSeries figures, and a better look at the chart TakaraTomy used to show off the relative scale between the releases. Keep reading to see!
Via various reports at 2005, we now know that the Studio Series Deluxe and Voyager class figures are showing up a bit early! With a street date of 4/20, Washington State Fred Meyer Stores and Kansas Dillons stores are putting the figures out well over a month ahead of time... but given the markup at both locations, you'll be paying for the privilege if you can find them. Metals Diecast has posted some new images of their MetalFigs 4" Transformers: The Last Knight figures to Facebook! These SD-style Optimus Prime and Bumblebee figures are both due to hit retail next month and, as the name would suggest, are made of diecast metal. That's got to be a pretty weighty set of figures! Keep reading to see images.
Yenting Lai of Facebook group TFND has posted an extensive gallery of images showing off Studio Series Voyager Starscream! The figure - which is due in both Transformers(2007) & Revenge of the Fallan color schemes in different waves - has a lot of articulation and looks very good in both modes. Studio Series is the topic of the evening, and in our last (for now) update on that front, we have stock images for Studio Series Thundercracker from usual suspect Weibo source tf-factory. Thundercracker is exclusive to Toys R Us in the US and is a redeco and minor retool of The Last Knight Voyager Nitro, featuring a new head. This leak gives us clearer looks at the vehicle and robot photos, plus a sample of the character art for the packaging. So far as we've heard, there's still just the one sighting of the toy in the wild so far. Click through to see the photos.
