SDCC 2012 - Hasbro Releases Prices for San Diego Comic Con 2012 Exclusives Terrorcon Cliffjumper, Bruticus, and Shockwave H.I.S.

Hasbro has put out a press release detailing all of the prices of their San Diego Comic Con 2012 exclusives, including the Transformers-centric Prime Terrorcon "Rust In Peace" Cliffjumper at $24.99, game-accurate Generation 1 Bruticus at $99.99, and G.I. JOE H.I.S.S. Tank Vehicle with Shockwave Deco and 3.75" Destro & B.A.T. Special Edition Pack at $59.99.

The figures will all be available for purchase at the HasbroToyShop.com booth #3329.

As always, if you cannot make it to SDCC 2012, you can always wait for word when the figures will go live on HasbroToyShop.com's website for purchase after the show.

TRANSFORMERS PRIME TERRORCON CLIFFJUMPER : $24.99 - Ages 5 & up -
The DARK ENERGON will be flowing through San Diego this year with the release of this special edition Deluxe scale TERRORCON CLIFFJUMPER figure. Featuring a special “TRANSFORMERS zombie” deco, this figure looks just like he did in the Darkness Rising storyline of Hasbro Studios TRANSFORMERS PRIME animated series. This figure comes with a DARK ENERGON shard and a DARK ENERGON chest attachment in a special edition clam shell packaging designed to look like his head.

TRANSFORMERS DELUXE BRUTICUS COMBINER: $99.99 each - Ages: 5 & up - The TRANSFORMERS DELUXE BRUTICUS COMBINER SDCC Special Edition set features the fearsome DECEPTICON, BRUTICUS in a special CYBERTRONIAN deco as seen in the eagerly anticipated video game TRANSFORMERS: FALL OF CYBERTRON from Activision. BRUTICUS is formed when all five deluxe scale ‘combiner’ action figures in the set link together. The COMBATICONS characters BLAST OFF, VORTEX, DECEPTICON BRAWL, SWINDLE, and ONSLAUGHT each have three modes: robot, vehicle and a third ‘combiner’ mode to link together. This Special Edition also includes removable packaging resembling a silhouette of the DECEPTICON logo that becomes a display case for the BRUTICUS figure.

G.I. JOE H.I.S.S. TANK VEHICLE WITH SHOCKWAVE DECO AND 3.75" DESTROY AND B.A.T. SPECIAL EDITION PACK: $59.99 each - Ages: 4 & up - After the extreme popularity of last year’s G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS crossover San Diego Comic-Con special edition, Hasbro has done it again! In 2012, the iconic G.I. JOE vehicle, the H.I.S.S. TANK, will get a DECEPTICON SHOCKWAVE make-over, including a G1 SHOCKWAVE blaster attachment. The set comes with a 3.75-inch DESTRO action figure with special edition DECEPTICON deco, a 3.75-inch COBRA B.A.T. figure with special edition CONSTUCTICON deco. The set also comes with several ENERGON cubes on a cart, a briefcase full of money, and a small boom box with 3 cassette tapes- better known to TRANSFORMERS fans as the classic alt-mode of DECEPTICON spy SOUNDWAVE along with RATBAT, LASERBEAK, and RAVAGE. Yo, Joe AND Roll Out!

Looking at the math:

Buyers are getting a better deal with SDCC Bruticus than SDCC Cliffjumper. because buyers are only paying a 50% mark up in price. Because each deluxe will sell for $12.99 in stores. so buyers are only paying $7 more for each SDCC deluxe combaticon.

buyers pay double prices $24.99 for SDCC deluxe Terrocon cliffjumper. because if this deluxe sold at usa retail store it would cost around $12.99.

isn't MSRP now $14.99?

I was at walmart, target & kmart a few days ago on Saturday night. I didn't see any TFP nor DOTM deluxes sell for $14.99. I saw TFP & DOTM deluxes sell for under $13.00 without sales tax.

So the MSRP $14.99 Deluxe price hike at walmart, target & kmart in the USA stores hasn't taken effect yet.

I can't speak for TRU stores. since I stopped going their due to them being more exspensive than walmart, target & kmart in the usa stores.

Keep in mind that Walmart and Target rarely sell anything at MSRP. Normally, TRU is a good indicator of MSRP.

Welp, BBTS sent out a note just now talking about Bruticus being added to wave 2 of Deluxe Generations. The prices have hopped up to $14.99. In effect in September.

I picked up Dead End for 12.88 the other day at Walmart. I felt like Target did raise their price higher than that. Might just be DOTM that I'm thinking of. At least Target brought those down to $16 again from $32. I wonder if they sold any at that price.

Lord Atmo - 2012-06-26 @ 5:02 pm

yeah i just can't justify paying that much for them. Cliffjumper maybe, but not bruticus

AutobotMaximal - 2012-06-26 @ 4:49 pm

I know that it's not game accurate, but I would love to have the G2 colored version.

puma - 2012-06-26 @ 4:41 pm

and it's the colors that SHOULD have been retail.

AutobotMaximal - 2012-06-26 @ 4:18 pm

Supply and demand, I guess. They can only price them that way if there are people willing to pay it.

Yes it is.

You're paying for the new deco and badass box. And the fact they slap the word "exclusive" on there means you will pay more than if you found it at the toy store.
