SDCC 2012 - Linkin Park Soundwave Will be Sold Through Band Affiliate Store and Hobby Channels
The Linkin Park Soundwave exclusive that was revealed yesterday
at the Transformers Brand Panel at San Diego Comic Con 2012 will be sold through the band's affiliate store additional hobby channels, Hasbro tells us in an interview.
When asked about the distribution channels for the figure that is limited to 2000 pieces, Jerry Jivoin tells Tformers that a "limited quantity" will be sold through Suru, a shop owned by band member Joe Hahn located in Los Angeles as well as "hobby channels," where agreements are still being worked on.
The figure has a special paint scheme that will include four (4) cassettes, a two-tone solid gold color deco (a.k.a. bling paint scheme) that is limited to 2000.
The cassette door in the unique boombox packaging holds a removable mix tape that acts as a certificate of authenticity.
A release date is unannounced at this time.
