Via Yu's Hobby Land on Facebook, we have several in-hand photos of the very recently revealed jet mode Shatter coming in a future assortment of Studio Series Deluxes. While scheduled with an on-sale date sometime around April, the presence of a completely finished copy of the figure hints at a release time much sooner.
The new Shatter is based on the character's appearance later in the Bumblebee movie, and features her second Earth alt mode; alas, it seems genuine, detailed triple changing figures of both her and Dropkick were simply never meant to be. But on the plus side, the new Shatter is tremendously screen-accurate in robot mode. It also seems that by moving one or more transformation joints, it's possible to bring some range of movement to the toy's over-the-shoulder jet engines for more dynamic posing possibilities. Plus, the jump-jet function of her alt mode can be emulated thanks to hinged jet nozzles. All told, this is looking quite nice!
It's been a busy week for getting early looks at future toys on Youtube! The latest such entry is Studio Series jet mode Shatter, from TonTon Reviews. We've already had a few quick in-hand photos of that toy surface, but the video review gives us a much better overview of it.One such revelation is just how much backpack this Shatter has.
