SXS-R01 Continuously Variable Exclusive MP Class Not Gears Coming in June

BBTS have just posted a product listing for the SXS-R01 Continuously Variable exclusive figure that will be coming in June. The MP class figure is an ultimate homage to the G1 character Gears. Here, the mini-bot is scaled up big time for those who are keen on the Masterpiece sized toys. Check out the figure that is available now for pre-order at early for a $5 discount.

I'm underwhelmed by that picture. I still think the Alt mode needs something more like a running boards....

Gears was my brother's first TF, so this takes me back... :)

Boy, between the official releases and the third party stuff, the MP line's really growing! As these guys appropriately vary in size, good to see the price point is as well.

The alt mode screams Trailbreaker.

Looks like an attempt at a Generations Gears. I wouldn't put it in the "Masterpiece" category, but I could see it alongside Generations Perceptor. It's not for me though. I like the simple, G1-style Gears that's being made by iGear.

It looks promising. I will wait for the color version. The Vehicle mode looks a little off to me. The robot mode looks really nice. The headsculpt is pretty good representation of the character, but looks a little off as well. Because of my tastes I ask this question all the time....why is it so hard to put Real rubber tires on MP Figures now? :tfevil
