TakaraTomy Releasing MP-11 Starscream In March 2012

When TakaraTomy released Transformers Masterpiece MP-10 Convoy Ver 2.0 a little bit ago, fans turned towards news of a future Masterpiece, and according to a listing at Hobby Search, MP-11 will be Starscream.

According to the listing, the figure will receive a crown, cape and shoulder pads. BigBadToyStore confirms these additions. Word is the figure will get a new hologram pilot.

The figure is set for a mid-March 2012 release date. Hobby Search lists the figure for 11,500 Yen (~$144 USD).

BigBadToyStore also received a mock-up of Coronation Starscream, which you can see after the break.

Damn it! There are full color pictures of this Starscream and, well, I now want it. It's just the right the shade of gray.

I'm content with the US version MP Starscream I've got, no desire nor need for another one. Would have preferred an Ultra Magnus with a trailer or a Galvatron or Soundwave, or even Jazz.

what people don't seem to understand is that this figure isn't taking a spot away from a potential new mold/character. we've already seen that a masterpiece ultra magnus is in the works using the new prime mold. another reason for this figure is to turn up a profit to put towards future new character releases.

i like that they're giving us an improved mold of this figure. in my opinion starscream is great as he is.. these tweaks just make him that much better. and the coronation set is awesome. much much better than the 3rd party one we were given before.

now seriously.. this thing better be white and not grey. hell.. if it's grey.. i'd get it as just a repaint without the remolding.. the remolding would be just an extra plus for me.

I'll more than likely pick this up. I like the look of it. I don't see Hasbro releasing this one since they've already released a Starscream.

Looks like I'm done with the Masterpiece line. So many characters that could be done, and Takara keeps rehashing the same characters and molds.

I'm not mad, just disappointed. I believe the MP line has Jumped the Shark. MP 9 and 10 surfed right up to the shark but this just jumps right over it.

Who am I kidding, I am going to buy this like the sucker I am. :argh

Hmm...I will get this one. Guess I'll say goodbye to my US MP Starscream. I want this one. I have the Conehead seekers and was kind of wondering if they would redo the original seekers. I couldn't tell, but does he have arm communicators? The leg mod to this mold is the main reason I am going to get it. I know most of the collectors are pissed. I'm not real happy, but I didn't get any of the Original MP TakaraTomy ones, so I haven't really felt the $$$ on my wallet of that.

Mark my words.....they will release this mold for TC and SW.

I hope they make a MP Megatron v2.0 after these are released....hopefully that will lead to a MP Ultra Magnus as well. :shrug
