Transformers The Last Knight Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura Talks Quintessa Spoilers In New Interview

In a video interview on comicbook.com, Lorenzo di Bonaventura goes in full spoiler mode talking about The Last Knight, touching on how some of the movie's themes came about, as well as his feelings on the matter when the interviewer asks about a possible move towards Beast Wars representation. But he seems to have the most to say when the question comes up regarding certain aspects of Quintessa, which, if held to, could lead future installments to very weird places. Keep reading to find out what he said, but be aware that it has spoilers for the movie!
You never know, that's part of what the discovery is gonna be. But actually, if you look at the mythology, the mythology of The Quintessa is that she very well and was probably human. So when you go back in time and go through that 6 billion years of mythology, there's certainly a current of thought within it that says she was a human character and perhaps was actually the first one who built the Transformers. So ironically, if that's accurate, then humans built Transformers.

While the concept of Quintessa somehow having originated as a human is certainly ...baffling and nonsensical, there's just as good of a chance that it will never be developed for a subsequent movie, even if the current continuity is kept following Transformers Universe: Bumblebee next year.
