Transformers: The Last Knight: Wave 1 Case Breakdowns, Plus Codenames Demystified (A Little)

TFW2005 has posted a couple of stories today with some interesting insights into the impending Transformers: The Last Knight toyline! Most notably, they've now posted (fully-codenamed) case breakdowns for Wave 1 of the toyline! Using this info, they're suggesting that Barricade is the character code-named "Mars," and that Bumblebee is codename "Saturn." Keep reading for more info and our analysis of the situation! Alright, so let's start with the idea that Barricade is Mars. This seems like a pretty good bet based on what we know; the entire first assortment of the Premier Edition Deluxes is known, and when you compare to TakaraTomy's mystery listing - TLK-02 - Barricade seems like the obvious choice. Although... they freely announced the quick change Barricade, TLK-08, so why secrecy there? It makes little sense, but embargoes and corporate secrecy are like that sometimes.

If Bumblebee is Saturn, this means he has to have two separate codenames, because there is no "Saturn" in the Deluxe wave. If so, I'm thinking that "Gas Giant" is Bumblebee's other codename, because it repeats at the most pricepoints and at points where we've seen Bumblebee toys to be: Deluxe, Legion, etc.

What other names can we work out? Thanks to this listing, we can compare to the mystery listings above and work some things out. But we also get a few more mysteries. Comparing the lists, we get Grimlock as "Lunar Eclipse" if we assume "Gas Giant" = Bumblebee and "Mars" = Barricade. But that means that Optimus Prime would also have two codenames: "Jupiter" in the Voyager assortment, and "Four Moons" in the Legion class. This, too, checks out agains the 1-Step Turbo Changers assortment, and further narrows down "Supernova" as Hound.

So, here's what we know after all this:

"Jupiter" and "Four Moons" both seem to be Optimus Prime. One evil, one his normal movie self maybe?

"Gas Giant" and possibly "Saturn" both seem to be Bumblebee. Probably different codenames based on which body he's in?

"Mars" does indeed seem to be Barricade.

"Lunar Eclipse" is Grimlock.

"Supernova" is Hound.

The only code names on this list we haven't definitively nailed down are "Gamma Ray" and "Shooting Star." These pretty much have to correspond to Decepticon Berserker and Dinobot Slash, but we can't say for certain which is which.
