Toy Fair 2012 - Transformers GI Joe Crossover Shockwave H.I.S.S. Tank with Destro, B.A.T. and Accessories
Peter Van - Saturday, February 11, 2012

More news just in thanks to the Transformers Collectors Club. Here we get some first looks at the Transformers GI Joe Crossover Shockwave H.I.S.S. Tank with Destro.

This set will be a SDCC 2012 exclusive. After the excitement of the GI Joe Starscream, Hasbro have taken one of our favorite Decepticons and combined him with Decepticon Destro for a way cool set in clear purple plastic.

Additionally, they have added the B.A.T. action figure with some way cool accessories. The little additions like the energon cubes are tiny Soundwave with cassettes (non-transforming) are pretty dang sweet.

Here are more details from the Toy Fair Panel:

A new HISS tank was designed just for GI Joe Retaliation.

It will be the same figure used for the SDCC Shockwave HISS Tank

The Energon is to exchange for cash.

The B.A.T. will be colored like a Construction.

Check out the images and share your comments on this set below.

It makes sense, but I don't collect G.I. Joe anymore, so I won't be seeking out this HISS tank. I am glad that Hasbro came to their senses and redesigned the canopy on their new HISS tank.

Called it about Destro did not see the B.A.T coming though. I still might buy it if the price is right.

Transformers At The Moon has posted the latest in their series of deleted audio and extended scenes from the original 1984 The Transformers cartoon series! This time, they've got over ten minutes' worth of dialogue from "Heavy Metal War," featuring the first appearance of the Constructicons. Keep reading to see the video along with a transcript of the dialogue.
The closure of ToysRUs provokes a lot of emotions - sadness, frustration at the circumstances, and in some a misguided sense of satisfaction stemming from their latter-day pricing habits. But at some point in our lives a great many of us were ToysRUs Kids. And so longtime Transformers fan and ASMzine proprietor Phil Zeman has created the site I Didn't Want to Grow Up, which is accepting submissions of your stories and reminiscences of visiting what was once the premiere source of action figures for children and collectors. Click through for a link!
Few would guess the last piece to be reissued from the original Transformers Generation 1 series would be the music scores. Even though the original cartoons have been reissued, updated and restored multiple times. Fans that have been asking for copies of the Original Sound Tracks (OST) masters have finally gotten theirs, on vinyl of all things. IF, they were fast enough to buy one of the 2,000 copies that sold out in less than 10 minutes. The good news is a second pressing is in the works.
ALL GOOD THINGS…! Rodimus and the Crusadercons have reached their final destination. The trouble is, it’s not Cyberutopia. In fact, it’s not ANYWHERE. But they’d better get used to it, because they’re going to be there until the end of Time…
After selling out their limited run within minutes, Enjoy The Ride Records has announced that their vinyl G1 soundtrack LP will be heading back to the presses later this year! Details and an exact timeframe are not known at this time, but it's good to know that access to this (at present) vinyl-only release will be expanding somewhat. Keep reading to see the announcement!
