Toy Fair 2013 - Transformers Construct-Bots New G1 Style Toys With Interchangeable Parts

Hasbro have really slipped one past us this time with news just posted on Wired.com. Just when you thought you had a grip on this, ZAMMMMM! Transformers Construct-Bots - New G1 Style Toys With Interchangeable Parts jump out of no where with what is clearly the next Generation of Ker-O line, Bionicle KOs! This is so far out of left field, I am not sure what to think right now. Have a look and let us know what you think below. Read more details from Wired:

That missing element? The ability to customize Transformers to fit your own imagination. And now Hasbro is taking care of that with the advent of Construct-Bots, set to be revealed tomorrow at the UK Toy Fair. Construct-Bots will come in four different sets, but all of them will have parts interchangeable with the rest, and each will come with a re-sealable case to ensure your kids (or you) don’t lose the parts:

+ The Scout assortment of Construct-Bots will each retail for $9.99, and will have 10 characters, including Starscream and Ironhide seen above.

+ The Elite assortment of Construct-Bots will each retail for $14.99, and will have 10 characters, including Wheeljack and Soundwave seen above.

+ The Triple Changer assortment of Construct-Bots will each retail for $24.99, and will be just Bumblebee and Blitzwing (seen above) — but they’ll each transform into both a car and a jet.

+ The Ultimate assortment of Construct-Bots will retail for $34.99, and will come with both Optimus Prime and Megatron, both seen above. Both Transformers will include projectile-firing launchers.

Wowie! That's a lot of stuff out of no where, likely the warm up to Toy Fair is going to be showing us more than Beast Hunters! What do you think of these new figures? Hit out poll and left a comment below.

I can imagine these teamed up with the M.A.S.K. guys..

O.K. I get they will more likely be compatible with lego technic but.... Will they be compatible with MUGENBINE??

Either-or LOVE the cybertronian vehicles.

I love Kre-O and I admit these tickle my fancy. The timing of them is odd though. If they have stuff like alternate heads and parts, these could indeed be interesting for customs.

Transformer + JayCee's Wheeled Warriors + Kreo = Pure crap :tfsad

Why doesn't Hasbro just focus on the one thing they are pretty good at? Real transformers. Forcus your efforts on more MP characters and figures! Try tackling figures before all the 3rd parties take them from you. I don't get it.......it's like they have ADHDa....I am sorry but why do we need more of these? If Hasbro was smart they would license them to Lego and just get their share.....:tfevil

but there's more money if they do it themselves.

:agree

I agree, and people wonder why fans would pay up the wazoo for 3rd Party figures instead; it's because of shenanigans like this that Hasbro is pulling.

What a clear and blatant rip off of the Hero Factory line.
