UPDATE: Images removed at the request of the publisher
Most of the
Transformers Dark of the Moon books are embargoed until May 16, 2011 just like the toyline, but that has not stopped various bookstores from putting them on the shelf prior to the release date.
Cth has managed to spot two childrens' books
The Lost Autobot and
Optimus Prime's Friends and Foes.
The book reveal new details and information, including robot identities, so we are labeling these as
MAJOR SPOILERS. Learn about all of the details after the jump.

The following information is organized from Cth's images and postings.
NEW ROBOTS
Wheeljack
As we have
previously speculated, the Einstein-looking robot and the Mercedes-Benz E550 are one in the same character, and according to this new image, it turns out it is true.
However, the character is named Wheeljack, and not Brains as Director Michael Bay previously revealed.
Like the Wheeljack of yore, he likes to invent things. He made grapple gloves to help Lennox and his soldiers to climb walls and large robots.
Nelson
previously stated the Einstein-looking robot and Wheelie will make up the new duo in
Transformers Dark of the Moon.
Mirage
The identity of the Autobot sporting the Ferrari 458 Italia vehicle mode has been revealed as Mirage.
Laserbeak
He is capable of transforming into multiple modes on top of his bird form, including a stereo, television, or a computer.
Wreckers
The Wreckers are mechanics and assist the Autobots and Sergeant Epps with repairing an Autobot spaceship (The Ark?).
OPTIMUS PRIME
Optimus Prime's trailer can transform into a giant shield.
SENTINEL PRIME
Sentinel has a "giant rust cannon that can destroy metal objects."
He was the Autobots' leader back on Cybertron.
MEGATRON
He is sulking in the sandy desert, planning his next attack.
SHOCKWAVE AND THE BIG DRILL
It seems that these two robots are linked in some way. In one page, it reveals that Shockwave is capable of riding the drill-looking robot.
PLOT POINTS
When the Russians from discovered the Ark, they took parts from it, leading Optimus Prime and the Autobots to decide they need to go to the moon to see the ship.
Optimus Prime and the Autobots will arrive at the moon to find The Ark with Sentinel Prime who is in stasis lock. They retrieve him to go home.
Megatron will open the Space Bridge and transport a multitude of Decepticons hidden on the moon, waiting to take over planet Earth in the final battle.
