Transformers Dark of the Moon Gameplay Footage, New Details

Update: Apparently the embedded video does not work. Check out Gamespot for the video.

Gamespot recently sat down with High Moon Studios Sean Miller, the Game Director of Transformers Dark of the Moon Game to discuss some details about the game. Mr. Miller brought along some game footage featuring Bumblebee and Ironhide, but the main spotlight is a level in South America featuring Bumblebee.

The gameplay, as we happily learned during our view of the game, is nearly identical to Transformers War for Cybertron, down to the ability to strafe in vehicle mode.

There is one big difference, though: each level is built around the abilities of each character.

Meaning that you cannot revisit each level with a different accompanying character. Accompanying characters do return, however, but explicit multiplayer modes are still hazy at this point.

Mr. Miller also confirms that High Moon Studios will only be developing the game for Microsoft XBox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 while another still as-of-yet-announced developer will handle the Nintendo Wii, DS, and 3DS games.

Sorry PC gamers, no word whatsoever about the keyboard and mouse variant.

The game will be released June 14, 2011.
