Following the Cybertron Starscream package images, we have another dump of shots showing the figure in-hand and transformed from robot to alternate Cybertronian jet mode! Check out the newest Cybertron Universe figure to land in United Wave 2 coming to retail in April 2024, thanks to @Transformers Chile
I'm really looking forward to Squeezeplay and hope we finish the set with Horri-bull.
I wasn't very hyped for some of the leaks, but this! Why wasn't this leaked first! This is the kind of stuff that I have been waiting for!!!
BaCon did it to me again. Added new stuff while I was typing lol.
Looks like he does still have the flip out swords. Sweet. The gun isn't so much the cannon the legends and supreme class figures had but looks to instead be the missile launching gun from the voyager figure done all as a single piece of translucent plastic. Actually no, it looks like the gun from Galaxy Meteor with the front looking like the missile from the voyager.
Confirmed about the lack of motion for the nipple cannons.
Is that...a cyber key I see? On the back of the box in a small pic in the upper right corner there looks to be a translucent purple cyber key where the key goes into on the voyager and supreme figures. Looks like it maybe connects to the gun too.
It looks so good. Just a nice update without anything crazy going on.
Hasbro missed out on so much hype not showing this and Silverbolt a while back. I know they're doing very well with the Transformers brand when compared to other brands but the marketing team and/or whoever tells them what and when they can and can't talk about upcoming products needs to reevaluate their relevance to the company at this point. They drop the ball so hard with the Transformers brand.
Product reveals for things like this should be done beforehand for the adult collectors. Yes they're kids toys but when you're main line is all about updating older designs, you're specifically trying to target collectors. So you might as well get that same audience hyped in advance. Theoretically it should hype us up and get us to start planning how we're going to afford them and where we're going to put them. For me, I like to know what's coming out as it does do just those things. I can plan ahead about anything.
Shadow drops are cool but not for the main lines that are targeting collectors. Those should be for exclusives only or maybe also for the more child centric lines or at least the toys that are within those lines. Knowing what the Cyberverse deluxe figures ahead of time would be nice. The warrior class or the others I'm fine with not knowing ahead of time.
I don't know what I'm saying anymore. I just know something is wrong with how Hasbro markets their lines. They wait until leaks happen, Takara announces them or they're already on shelves somewhere before they themselves announce them.
That Galaxy Force/Cybertron Starscream looks great.
Now give me all the colors. Voyager Cybertron American colors, voyager Dirge colors and then every single color used on the smaller Legends of Cybertron figure. SDCC Skywarp, "WFC" Starscream, "Movie" Starscream, G1 Ramjet, Universe Ramjet, Sunstorm and Thrust. Oh and let's not forget the ACTUAL Shattered Glass Starscream. Hopefully it won't yellow like the one Hasbro released from the Siege mold.
I'm still trying to get another Senator Shockwave for cheap to move his light grey pieces onto SG Starscream to get rid of the yellowed ones. I had fun with all my Megatrons and swapped the yellowed parts around to the G2 versions since the green on them makes the yellowed plastics not look so bad. Combat Hero G2 Megatron in particular looks real good with the yellowed plastic since it's almost the same shade as his standard grey color. I took his black parts and moved them to Miner Megatron. I like the look of both of them more now since the black parts look good on Miner Megatron as he has a bunch of black on him already and again, the yellowed plastic matches Combat Hero Megatron near perfectly. G2 Megatron's grey plastic is actual grey but the yellowed plastic when moved to him doesn't look bad because he's mostly green and it balances out the yellowed plastic visually.
Is it just me or does the left shoulder look like it's on a butterfly joint? It looks as though it's brought in a bit. That would be awesome if they managed to get a butterfly in there. Looks to have a waist swivel like the Maketoys version which is great. The wing binders look to be on a standard 5mm peg and port system. Which is both cool and a bit of a dissapointment. Cool in that they can be moved around but disappointing in that they're not on that hinge system the Maketoys figure is but that would require this to either be smaller or be moved up a size class. And I certainly don't want this to be a small figure. I hope he's as big and beefy as it looks in this cropped picture with nothing else to compare it to.
I also noticed that there doesn't seem to be any swing around weapons. It looks like the cannon is there across his back and will maybe tab onto the little turrets on the wing binders. It just means that there will be quite a few options to "upgrade" this. A matching cannon and a pair of swords. The detachable wing binders is going to be fun when these start showing up in junk lots on Ebay without them. Just like the Supreme class figure.
Double jointed elbows, ankle pivots, waist swivel, possible butterfly joints in the chest. Yeah, this is going to be a good figure. I'm not sure though if the nipple cannons can move. They both do and don't look like they can move.
