Hey, thanks! :) I'll tell you... but it will cost you a Leader Class Animated Bulkhead figure. :tflaugh

I didn't change the cape in any way... if you look at the side and top views, all I did was put the cape on so it hung directly from the shoulder pads, in front of the large wings. Then, I tucked the inner seam of the cape into the areas on SS's body where the main wings fold up.

I am terrible at explaining.... it's probably easier to just look at the pics as a guide. :)

I haven't seen any fraying yet on the cape... but I will watch out for that.

Here are some better shots of how I put the cape on my MP SS:

It's different than the other guys who posted pics... but just like so many other things, it's all a matter of personal preference. :)

I WANT TO GET IT THAT WAY! What's the easier way to have the cape that way?

Kind of off-topic, but is the cape on anyone else's SS fraying terribly?

How does it look from the side/back/top?

Here's how it looks if you do it according to the instructions...

The way Pascal did it is more right that the way I did, the way I did is to hide the parts on the back but there is more than one way to have the cape draped over him.

YOU ROCK PASCAL! He's a great guy and knows his Transformers! :)

Yeah, that looks a lot better. That's also how it looks in the promotional art. That's NOT how it looks in the video. The one in the video is completely draped over the nosecone assembly and makes him look like a hunchback.

Also, those energon cubes and that Allspark are not made by the same company as the coronation set. Impossible Toys did the cubes, Popbox did the Allspark, and TFC Toys did the coronation set. According to the video there's another Allspark (probably cheaper and not metal) by TFC, as well as two energon swords, none of which I've ever seen for sale anywhere.

There is another way...

If you hang the cape from the shoulder pads, you can sort of edge the back of the cape under the rear wings to make it look a lot more smooth:

(sorry for the crummy cell phone pic)

Oh yeah... the cape needed a quick ironing on low heat. That removed the wrinkles. :)

Pascal 2008-04-30 @ 12:49 pm
I'm pretty sure he's putting that cape on the wrong way... shouldn't it fit down under the nosecone/backpack, rather than being all bunched up at the top like that? And yeah, someone point me in the direction of that Allspark.

Not according to the official instructions.
