Wheelie Confirmed for Revenge of the Fallen!
bwbm - Saturday, February 07, 2009

Thanks to TF08, we have our first look at Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Wheelie.

This bot has been often-rumored to be the blue remote controlled vehicle spotted during the Udvar-Hazy Museum shoot in the Washington, DC area.

With our view of the back of the card, we also get a view of the character's tech spec, which reveals that sometime during the film, Wheelie is used by the Decepticons do their bidding.

The figure's "Mech-Alive" gimmick (previously known as the Automorph technology) will change the character's alliance from Autobot to Decepticon.

We have also transcribed the character's tech spec for your enjoyment below:

Wheelie

AUTOBOT WHEELIE never really wanted to be a Decepticon. It's just that, when people start yelling at him, he tends to do whatever they say. He's easily starled, and simple to scare. His tiny size makes him an ideal spy, and even though he doesn't like or agree with the DECEPTICONS, they scare him so much doesn't know what to do except obey.

I like that his main stat on his tech spec is endurance.. I wonder if he's going to be a goofy odd ball Waspinator sort in the movie that gets harmed consistantly.

As Tarron obliquely pointed out, the movie character, Wheelie transforms into a remote controlled toy truck, not a full-sized vehicle.

Yeah, and speaking of that alt mode, its pretty kickass looking. Too bad the bot mode is such a turd. I mean I like the idea of wheelie being a scrawny little wierd thing that gets pushed around (and hopefully smashed) but its just too bad they didnt use an RC dune buggy or something more generic an... read more

I don't see how he is little in robot form, and transforms into a 4x4 truck....unless he just pops out of the truck in the movie like how Frenzy popped out of Barricade

Aww C'mon! I thought Steven Speilburg wasn't going to help direct this one. Wheelie looks almost like E.T. or related to Wall-E!!! I'm not liking this robot mode at all. Wheelie should be a closer resemblence of Bumblebee at least. I hope Wheelie doesn't poop out fire... read more

The bot mode is all creepy, wierd and ugly, but its right in line with the look of Frenzy, the other creepy scrawny guy in the movieverse... I had a Zybots (generic gobots) 4-wheeler/quadracer guy as a kid and this reminds me a LOT of that toy.

His head looks like Ultimate Dume from the Lego Bionicle line... (link) Every movie line has a stinker with a neat alt mode. Last time, of course, it was Scorponok. This year, it's Wheelie....
