Transformers 5 - Has A Title! Transformers: The Last Knight To Premiere June Of 2017
RAC - Monday, May 16, 2016

Superhero Hype has announced that Paramount has decided on an official title for Transformers 5! Now titled Transformers: The Last Knight, filming begins on June 6th in Detroit. Besides Mark Wahlberg and Isabela Moner, actor Jerrod Carmichael is known to be playing a role. Keep reading for more info and a closer look at the new logo! UPDATED with a link to the official announcement on Instagram! A link was just posted to Instagram, which we can't embed, of Optimus Prime's Decepticon-purple eyes staring directly through your soul.

The Transformers: The Last Knight cast is confirmed to include the return of Transformers: Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager as well as new roles for Isabela Moner (100 Things to Do Before High School, Growing Up Fisher) as the film’s female lead, Izabella. Jerrod Carmichael (The Carmichael Show, Neighbors) is also set to play an unspecified leading role.

Production on Transformers: The Last Knight is set to begin June 6 in Detroit with production planned to take place at various locations around the world.

“Having one of the highest-profile film franchises created in Michigan is a major economic boost and a testament to the talent of the state’s production community,” said Jenell Leonard, commissioner of the Michigan Film & Digital Media Office when production plans were first revealed. “The production and economic investment is now happening sooner rather than later, and obviously, the project is a certainty rather than merely a possibility.”

Michael Bay returns to the director’s chair for the film, which is set to be written by Iron Man scribes Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down). Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto will produce the sequel.

It's currently not know whether Nicola Peltz, who played Cade Yeager's daughter Tessa, or Jack Reynor who played her boyfriend, will be returning to the film, so we will leave it to you to hope for or against as is your preference. More info as it becomes available!

The results are in for the 38th Golden Raspberry Awards. Transformers: The Last Knight carried nominations in several categories, surely to the surprise of no one who was actually paying attention. But despite all its charms, TLK was up against some tough competition, especially from the incredibly ill-conceived Emoji Movie. The results can either be seen as an affirmation of victory over anyone trying to highlight its flaws, or a crushing blow that it wasn't even bad enough to win here, but The Last Knight walked away without taking a single raspberry. If you're interested in the complete results, you can check out the video below.
Weibo user NOTRAB has posted a gallery of upcoming Studio Series Leader class Grimlock! The new-mold figure is a significant visual upgrade compared to the original 2014 Leader mold. While we might wish for more color, we can't rightly pin that on Hasbro as these figures are designed to be as screen-accurate as they can possibly be. Hollywood wants to love the the fans, they really really do. But they don't seem to know how when they keep putting too many humans in robot movies. Five movies on, they have literally run this franchise over a cliff. Knights, Unicron horns and even Cogman couldn't save them, It made $500 Million, but raked in a lot the slag with it. The legendary fan force that is Screen Junkies. Takes aim at TLK with their barrel fusion-cannons. Leaving a steaming pile of bashes, laughing all the way.
