With this image in mind, they have been commercialized with a completely new design while retaining the size, texture, and nostalgia of the time! The size, transformation pattern, and basic structure using some die-cast alloy follow the original toy, while the ideal Sunstreaker/Cordon toy has been released with updated joint movement for posing and gimmicks drawn in the anime. A thorough homage to the era, from the packaging to the styrofoam tray, brings back the excitement of opening a Transformers product in the 1980s even more than the reprint version.
The robot body also has the familiar "secret emblem" attached, and when you warm it with your fingers, the legion mark appears. A joint hole for a separately sold stand has been added to the back, allowing you to display it in an action pose. The package illustration is a new drawing based on the image of the time, and a collection card featuring the same illustration is also included.
I saw that they are asking for $80 on these. I was really excited with the idea of a missing link Sunstreaker and it was my Holy Grail for this series, but that price is a bit steep. I don't think the added articulation is worth the price of entry versus a used G1 Sunstreaker.
