What's New in Transformers?

Trust me, I'm not disputing how good these stories are. They are truly awesome. I love all the content, from the comics, to the cartoons, and the toys. I'm not casting shade on any of it. I just want new stories and forward movement. 

We really need something fresh. Something new. They linked to the original continuity. Star Wars is doing it with the High Republic and the SWTOR game. Star Trek did it with Picard, Discovery, and the Kelvin timeline. Those who are in charge of the Transformers lore are stuck in a loop, retelling the same story over and over again. Optimus Prime against Megatron, and the canon fodder that follow them. Please, I beg you, o ye Cybertronian lore keepers, show us something new! 

Exactly. I mean, ultimately, the Allspark wanted to combine technology with organic life, and that did happen at the end of Beast Machines, but I really want to know the in-between history. 

I would agree with you, except that the War for Cybertron figures have been AMAZING! The best depiction of almost every figure (they screwed up Ultra Magnus again by not making him a white repaint of Optimus Prime though - WHY, HASBRO?!?).

I would love to see some post Pretenders/Pre-Beast Wars storyline. It would be really interesting to see what happened to the original Megatron and Optimus Prime and how their Beast Wars counterparts came to lead their respective factions!

Know what I want to see in the Transformers lore? Something new! Enough with remaking G1. There are plenty of Optimus Primes out there. Here's what I want to know. What happened between G1 and Beast Wars. If Optimus Primal is the descendant of Optimus Prime, what's the history between the two? We went from G1 to the head masters, target masters, and power masters. Then came the Pretenders. Then came the Action Masters and Nucleon, the replacement for Energon. Then what? NOTHING! There is a huge historical gap between the Action Masters and the Beast Wars. There must have been technological advances and mass upgrades to the Cybertronians. There were Micro Masters and Mini-cons. What happened to them? After Optimus and Rodimus, who led the Autobots? How did the Tri-Predicus Council form?
