We've talked about it on Radio Free Cybertron
more than once, but it's still fascinating to see: the economic realities that hamper Hasbro hit unofficial third-party manufacturers at least
as hard, if not harder. And so we see a lot of the same characters (Optimus Prime, Megatron, etc.), especially ones that people are sure will sell and have recolor potential. Case in point: MAAS Toys is taking a swing at Cybertronian Mode "Tetrajet" Starscream from the very first episode of The Transformers
in the form of MS-01 Renegade! Keep reading to see the prototype photos.
DX9 has posted on Facebook showing a full color sample of their upcoming D13 Montana, a Masterpiece-style figure based on Breakdown. Montana is the first in the lineup for DX9's unofficial Stunticon team, and based on product numbers will be followed by not-Motormaster before any of the other limbs hit. The new photos show lots of the robot mode in a good overview, plus some poseability and action scenarios, plus of course a quick look at the vehicle form. You can check out all of the pictures mirrored in the gallery below!

we've learned today of a new release from Fansproject, surely surprising everyone who thought we'd more or less seen the last of that particular third party. Saurus Ryu-Oh Beastructor is the Monstructor-inspired makeover of the original Saurus Ryu-Oh combiner set which represented Dinoking. The set is on preorder for $360 and is expected in June. Tonight via Alucardlee on Weibo, we've got a photo showing a fully assembled Ragnaros. If you're blanking on the name, that's understandable, as it is but one unlicensed MP-style Bruticus among many. This particular Not-Bruticus is the work of Unique Toys, bringing a little bit different style to the party with something taking a bit more from the cartoon look - a fact in evidence by the coloring of the chest piece including colors from Not-Blast Off, for instance. Finally on the Transform Dream Wave front, we have images of a prototype stage upgrade package for Volcanicus. The Power of The Primes Dinobot combiner is in line to get the usual array of new hands and feet, and torso additions to fill out the combined form's proportions. But also included with this set will be weapons for the individual robots, allowing every Dinobot to be armed with sword, gun, or more likely both. Even in the early state shown it seems like a pretty exciting option, and timely enough to compete with the likes of Perfect Effect or any others throwing their hats in the Fix-The-Dinobots game.
