Confirmed: Binaltech BT-19 Bluestreak & BT-20 Meister v2

By News_Staff on Monday, February 25, 2008

"Redfish" of the Hong Kong based Toy Daily Forums has revealed a questionable solicitation for Transformers Binaltech BT-19 Bluestreak feat. Subaru Imprezza WRX and BT-20 Meister feat RX-8 Mazda Speed Version II whose color scheme will be based on the Movie Jazz.

The release date is June 26, 2008 in Japan and will retail at 5,000 Yen.

UPDATE: We have personally confirmed BBTS that these two figures will indeed be released around June 2008. Will the Binaltech series live on through repaints? Stay tuned as we will try to find out more, but the questionable things to point out are Bluestreak's name is Japan is just Streak, which was issued as BT-03. Also in Japan, Meister in the Movie was also referred to as Autobot Jazz and not Meister.

noworries. So we have to wait until June to see if the head mold is going to be different. Cross your fingers. So, will this be the last of the binaltech line (with Arcee and Optimus)?

I would've done to, but I broke down and got one already. Now I need an Alt Kitty Ravage.

I can understand that. Of those 3, I would rollbar, because: I can get repro labels and make him tantrum Im planning on doing the same with my rave v1 alt and making it into the bird/halk predacon from predaking... you know the one.... EDIT: RAZORCLAW!

After having played with both I prefer the diecasts. They are more solid in their transformations. I transform them all the time without any issues. I love the weight and feel of it. It makes it less of a "toy" and more of a collector's item. The color is amazingly different too. ... read more

And I'd rather spend $25 on all-plastic Alts. I like the plastic ones better AND they're cheaper. I still would much rather have an Alt Battle Ravage than my Binaltech Battle Ravage.

If they had done up Bluestreak in a more Diaclone-y fashion, I might be more interested.

Or, at least not early molds that have had multiple releases already. I'd bet that TakTom isn't going to bother licensing any newer cars unless Hasbro is involved, since I think it's the US market that necessitates it.

For the love of my wallet; NO! Not to mention the 'I already own these TWICE'-factor. *Saves for Encore OS*

i sold my alts, with no regrets. And I feel no need for these, but seriously isn't it time for some new molds or something?
