Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I was told, the iGear seekers were retooled KOs of the official toys. Not much R&D needed for that.

Not true, the iGear Seekers were right around $100 a piece, which is approximately the same as it would be for a Takara release, minus the Takara add-on's

I believe you're right. I've never seen another third party toy costing as much as its official counterparts. $150 for this would definitely be worth it.

Exactly. this is, to my knowledge, the first time a 3rd party TF costs almost the exact same as its official counterparts. that alone is reason enough for me to buy it plus i love shocky lol

Let's be honest here. $150 is not bad considering MP Optimus Prime is now going for $130 on the TRU website. And to get Takara MP versions, you're paying big money as well.

On Facebook via The Chosen Prime we have a few new photos of Arkose, X-Transbots' Beachcomber-alike in their Master Mini series. The photos show the final production toy, looking at the package, the insert tray (including a glimpse of the accessories), both modes and a size comparison to the official Masterpiece Bumblebee, showing Arkose to be just a bit taller. You can keep reading to see all the pictures of this figure, which should be hitting retailers now.
Hot on the heels, palms, face, and breastplate of PE's Computron upgrades come a set of upgrades for pretty much the rest of Combiner Wars! Improvements for Optimus Maximus, Bruticus, and G2 Superion will be available between April and May. On top of that, they've announced replacement parts to address an issue with their PC-06 kit for Combiner Wars Devastator that caused a loosening of the wrist joints. Keep reading for all of the details!
Before Combiner Wars Computron is officially announced or even acknowledged, Perfect Effect has already debuted yet another variation of their Perfect Combiner upgrade system geared around the Technobot combiner. Coming in two sets, one is a chest piece, head and rifle, and the other features the customary poseable hands and feet in a dark red. The move isn't an entirely blind shot. The torso upgrade itself has merit with or without a Computron box set being a reality, though it sadly does little to fix the color layout issues. But it's a bizarre state of affairs to see unofficial upgrades announced before the toy they're made for. Keep reading to see the pictures!
Today on Weibo, X-Transbots has shared new photos of their Master Mini series of figures. Now in production are Boost, based on Windcharger, and Hatch, based on Tailgate. These are part of X-Transbots' Masterpiece-compatible line, and each features an option part or two to help the figures reflect either media appearances or be a little more toy-oriented. With these samples being from the actual production run, retailers should be seeing these come in stock pretty soon. We've mirrored the photos, so click through to check them out.
Just posted are pre-orders for the BadCube OTS-Special 01 Sentinel Blaze figure, a homage to the Diaclone Red Sunstreaker. Old Time Series Blaze is a transforming robot that turns into a red sports car. He features a full body paint job and several chrome accessories. This item is priced at $83.99 to begin shipping in March 2016 - order now at bigbadtoystore.com.
