I'll wait and see if Hasbro brings this over to the states. I have no need for the trailer, so hopefully he's Hot Rod without the trailer, or there's a remold in the future to give us Hot Rod.

Megatron is an amazing piece of figure engeenering, I won't deny that. All the flips, hinges, folds and hidden parts are astounding!!! Still it does come off flat and even worse frail. If that wasn't the case I never would have scored a bunch of broken ones to piece together ... read more

I agree, MP Megs is an astounding feat of engineering (c'mon, who'd have ever thought we'd get anything close to the toon model out of a realistic gun mode??!). A couple of touch ups and he looks even better...

Yeah i never opened my 20th DVD version of MP Prime (I DID buy it, but returned due to having MP-01 and 20th Anv '04 USA MP O.Prime) ... Does the dvd MP Prime have no chrome? Battledamage? I never even bothered to look at it when i bought it and returned it a few days later cuz i needed money. I... read more

MP Megatron is a fine toy, just he was a let down for most after the awesome MP's we had gotten before. I bought both the US and Takara first MP Prime. aside from minor cosmetics, there really is no difference. I actually like that 20th Aniversary TFTM edition that came out in 06 best though. I don't know why people complain about MP Megatron; admittedly, mine only came out of the box (which still has its cellophane wrapping on it, albeit with an 'access hatch' sliced into the top end...) once to have the batteries removed. Stood it up on my desk and had a good look at it an... read more

MP Grimlock has die-cast (in limited form though, like on Megatron, Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker). Rodimus will have die-cast too, it's part of what defines the MP line. Convoy had more than the others only by design: the huge chunky lower legs that don't do much and the chest win... read more

Autobase Aichi has dug up a new image showing that a Kabaya version of the Seacons will be released somewhere in the near future. These technically will represent the iteration of the Seacons from Masterforce, but they happen to be pretty much identical to the US release Seacons. The only picture of the kits are combined as King Poseidon. And since Masterforce's Seacons were legions of drones apart from Turtler, getting duplicates of most of these wouldn't be a bad thing! It must be a day ending in Y, because there's an Optimus Prime figure being recolored as Nemesis Prime in Japan. Today's entry is Bearbrick Nemesis Prime, who takes the G1-style figure that changes from Optimus Prime-themed teddy bear to plain old Optimus Prime and gives it the time-honored Scourge/Nemesis paint job. The figure is expected June 19th for the hefty retail price of 5184 Yen. Keep reading to see!
Hayato Sakamoto contributed his talents to issue #39 of More Than Meets The Eye, in the process rolling numerous Japanese-fiction-originated character in to the issue's crowds. Among them was a slightly different looking version of Liokaiser. Today, Sakamoto has posted the original concept art that was used as the model for the comic appearance, which differs from the final appearance of the toy and Victory series model. Click through to give it a look!
It looks like QTransformers must've done pretty well, because thanks to Autobase Aichi we know the Decks Tokyo Beach store is holding a QTF event where you can have a card stamped with the faces of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Lockdown, and G1 Prime/Convoy to receive a special gift. Also on display are QTransformers phone straps, buttons featuring lines from the animation, and even a "life-size" model of QTransformers Bumblebee! Keep reading to see the event!
Are you or is your favorite middleman in Japan? Eager to pick up a piece of new merchandise that actually refers to Optimus Prime by his original Japanese name of Convoy? You might want to consider making a 3000+ Yen Transformers merchandise purchase during the month of May then, to get a new Transformers 2010-style character card featuring the Cybertron Supreme Commander.
